Typed directly from life in a single session in 2017, perched on my little fold-out stool (and with a terribly hunched back), the view – as they do – stopped me in my tracks for the eery gothic victorian style of the buildings of Holly Village near Highgate’s Wembury Park. Crows, so typical to a scene like this acting busy, seem to be the surveillance of all from the eaves. My favourite bit is the cyclist and that tree in the middle, neither of which were reasons for my sitting down but wonderfully glad to have noticed them enough to portray them.
The artwork is unframed and measures 12.8 x 22.9cm.
This is an original work of typewriter art on Arches 100% cotton watercolour paper. This original comes unframed but protected in a sleeve with backing board with gold-embossed Keira Rathbone stamp for authentication, then wrapped in gold embossed tissue, so even if you are giving an unframed piece as a present it will be beautifully presented. Bespoke framing can be added to your order, takes 2-3 weeks , available double-glazed ‘floating’ style, in either stained black or satin white (see examples of previous works framed in this way to the left in the gallery) and is an additional £60 for this size. Please contact me if you would like to add framing and I will assist you personally.
