One of my favourite parts of the Thames river, probably because this is where I have spent most of my time living in London – either walking/cycling through or sitting in Furnivall Gardens park on Summer’s (and Winter’s) days (and nights). I just love the house boats that rise and fall with the tide, the ever-changing sometimes subtle, sometimes dramatic weather and mood. I love seeing what is left on the river bed when the tide is out, and imagining (romanticising really) life on a houseboat and the community this would bring about.
The perfect perch was the wall that runs along this part of the Thames path – just the right height and positioning for the angle I was after.
