This is a limited edition print run of 150.
I recently ‘popped up’ at Jessica de Lotz Jewellery on Fortess Road for a special one-off Father’s Day event in her beautiful shop. Whilst I was there, I encountered so many of Kentish Town’s lively and colourful characters who brought this place alive for me (thanks to Jessica!).
I since returned to start work typing a sweeping street scene starting at the community hub that is the Internet Cafe and finished with the dome atop The Boston (opposite Tufnell Park tube), with Jessica’s shop featured prominently. This diptych took 4 sessions to complete (around 25 hours). I met so many locals and passers-by whilst creating the picture (one kind lady from the flat above the internet cafe even brought me glass of orange juice!) . The finished piece adorned the front cover of The Kentishtowner newspaper in August, excitingly, so I got to connect with a few more locals as a result.
Contact me if you wish to add framing (floating/sandwiched glass with square moulding in stained black or white) £125 for this size and takes 2-3 weeks.
