This bridge/place conjures fond memories for a lot of local people as well as people who once lived in the area. not least myself having spent many an occasion walking, cycling or stopping nearby the bridge to enjoy the bird life , the water and the general calm of Chiswick House Gardens.
On this occasion I was walking my newborn baby around with my typewriter in the undercarriage (naturally), and decided that the bench (so lucky!) would be the perfect angle from which to type the composition from. Traces of transitory life scattering through the scene, like a dog and child’s micro scooter. Then a perfectly still swan starring at me , perhaps expecting some seeds.
