Originally a commissioned piece, I wondered up and down Cleveland street to find a view of the BT Tower which also included the George and Dragon pub, which is closed for renovation/repair, but needed to make it look sort of open. I found these railings with the spherical tops and thought this would make a great lead-in, as well as all the people typed live , heading in/out of view.. this is one piece that sums up exactly what I love about street typing in London.
This piece took 2 live / from life sessions for the main composition , the buzz/ transient elements and most of the detail of the buildings, and a follow-up 3 or 4 hours in the studio , completing the tower.
