This is a limited edition print run of 150.
Was it something about the skeleton of this young Gibbon, without it’s flesh and blood and fur, that spoke to me and made me think “how similar to my own young!” ?
Or was it purely the typogenic quality of the bone structure, making me think how I could get my teeth into it’s delicate intricacies?
Either way, this unusual yet instinctive choice of subject was something I just had to do, and now it is one of my favourite typics.
Shortlisted in the National Open Art Competition 2017.
