Typics

An offer to exhibit at the Hogarth Club in early 2016 brought about a focus on some of the really local local themes I’d clocked but not yet given artistic attention to.

I enjoyed sitting and actually typicting the places I usually walk past pondering their typogenic perfection, and in doing so , talking to more and more locals and visitors.

Scenes such as Hammersmith Bridge (my favourite) and Chiswick House Bridge; Chiswick High Road (a massive 7 “count them” pages across!); Church Street Chiswick; Furnivall Gardens and it’s house boat community; Rowers preparing to row (Girls Deciding when to Pick up a Boat); outside Turnham Green tube station; Chiswick House.. and they’re growing as I find more short studies to typict all the time.
