After Tweeting The SkyGarden Becky from Rhubarb Food invited me for a viewing . It was amazing to see the city in every direction from this perspective.
Westward View from the Sky Garden of 20 Fenchurch Street, London was typed directly from the window, in 10-15 sessions of anything from 2-5 hours. With public visitors and the building’s resident office workers watching and occasionally stopping to talk/comment it was almost as pleasurable and interesting as typing on street-level.
The starting point was the junction (near the bottom of the picture) with its tiny figures scrurrying like ants – they would give the surrounding buildings perspective.
Type-signed in a detailed part of the image (usually the place where you’d be most likely to find me if I were in the scene).
Original Typic – purely typewritten characters on Arches 100% cotton watercolour paper. 23 width x 46cm height (image size). Framed.
Framed originals are carefully packaged, and sent on a trackable postal/shipping service. Although most couriers won’t insure glazed pictures. Please get in touch if you’re interested but have questions about shipping, only too happy to find a solution!
